About
Hi! I'm so glad you've come across my website. If you're here, you probably love to read or write which means we already have something in common.
I was born and raised in Culver City, CA and moved to Wisconsin for college --- I also lived in London for six months for study abroad! I graduated summa cum laude from Beloit College where I received two bachelor's of arts degrees: one in anthropology and one in creative writing. While at Beloit, I co-founded their creative writing club and resurrected the school's literary magazine and ran it as the editor in chief. I worked in the career development department which allowed me to host Q&A's, workshops, and readings with a variety of authors to educate the Beloit campus about careers in creative writing.
I got my start in writing when I was young --- about four years old. Some home video footage shows me writing my first book at that age, granted it was about three lines. I attribute my early love of writing and storytelling to my three older siblings. One of my sisters in particular reads a ton, and at a very advanced level for her age, so through sharing a room with her, I absorbed her affinity for books. We loved to tell stories so much that she and I would even role play as our own characters in the universes of our favorite stories, a precursor to my fan fiction era. From there, I became a teen ambassador for YALLWest. I met tons of authors and agents and publishers and all kinds of people who I aspired to be like. Those connections allowed me to continue ARC reading and meet other people within the industry.
My work has been published in six magazines which can be read on the 'publications' page. I hope to publish my first book in the next couple of years. For now, I'm editing in all outlets that I can and working on fan fictions for my community of online followers --- though my fan fiction is anonymous, I have met many talented storytellers on such platforms.
Outside of my writing career, I love to play with my dog, travel, and cook (with mild success). Below are some pictures of me, many of which are from my travels, and some of my favorite books.
